One of Three
Sorry, I've been a bit lax about posting lately. I was terribly ill last week and had to put life on hold for few days. Thankfully, I'm well again and back to hard core training. So, in order to catch up, I'm going to post a couple of times today. Why not?
If you know me, you can imagine what I look like running. Now close your eyes and imagine me running 13.1 miles, in front of 20,000 people. Can you possibly let the opportunity for that scene pass by?
Why am I doing it? I'm glad you asked. I have been running to get back in shape for a while. A friend of mine, at work, told me that I should check out Team In Training. So, I took her advice and attended an information meeting along with Carolyn (my Wife). Half way through the meeting, we knew that we had to help out. Blood cancer is a horrible disease, but it is not a death sentence. Everyday, people are coming closer to a cure, but they need help. Meanwhile, there are many people fighting the disease personally, they also need help. I decided to help them, because I can. It's as simple as that. In order to make my run with Team In Training, I need to raise $3,100. 75% of that money ($2325) will go directly toward research for a cure and patient support services to help the people who are suffering from Leukemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma, and Hodgkin's Disease. But, I would like to raise a LOT MORE. So please consider DONATING to this worthy cause.
